When I sit with teachers to give feedback on their When I sit with teachers to give feedback on their lesson I always start by asking them how they feel the lesson went. What went well? What would they change if they were to give the lesson again?So often teachers aren't sure what to say. They simply state that the lesson went well. Learning to self-reflect on your teaching is a critical skills for teachers because often you are the only one in your classroom. Mentioning things that you would change if you had to do the lesson again, doesn't mean you aren't a good teacher. I let teachers know beforehand what the topic for the month is and they can sign up if its something they are interested in. I then deliver the PD in a Box (or sometimes and envelope) and they have all month to read about the tips and try it out in their classroom.
